The Only Excuse

What's up everyone? It's 8:30PM on Thanksgiving, and yours truly is updating the comic. Why am I here you ask? Well...I love my family, and I enjoy spending time with them, but there's just something that feels like home in the dorms. I don't know, maybe it's the constant drone of my computer and the 32 port hub that's chilling on top of it. Maybe it's the case of ramen under the couch. Maybe it's the beeps and buzzes across the hall from the super nintendo. Or maybe it's the first place I've ever been that no one gets on me about anything...and yet it always gets done. Strange.
I don't know what it is, but in these past three years and a few months, Macalester has become my little home in the middle of St. Paul. It's gonna be a bitch leaving in the spring, but I'm off to another home. I'll be living in Arizona for 3 months with Annie, then to California for grad school. I'll need to go to school in California for at least 5 years, possibly up to 7 in order to get a PHD in computer science, but hey, that's what I'm going to do.
So yeah, thanks and all that. Time to give thanks for all the stuff I'm thankful for. I think that Pete over at Sluggy Freelance has the right idea, family, friends and freedom. I'm thankful for all that. Of course I have to mention my lovely Annie, I'm thankful for her. Of course when she reads this, she's gonna gush, and have to tell me how thankful she is for me...and I'm thankful for that too. So yeah.
You'll be glad to know that starting this Tuesday, there will be the first story arc on I'm Blue. Isn't it crazy? I suppose not, other people do stories and stuff, the aforementioned Sluggy always does them, as does PvP Online, Sinfest, Winter, Polymer-City Chronicles, yeah...you get the idea. But for us, it's the first. So far it's just been gag stuff getting to know the characters, but starting on Tuesday, it'll be an actual story line.
