Truce Called on Account of Anime

Aw, crap on a crap cracker...
We'd like to apologize profusely for being late with today's comic: that's what watching a bunch of movies and staying up until 3 AM the night before will do to you. But yes, we're extremely sorry, and I finally saw "Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension," and Jeebus Bob does it RULE. (Go see it now, especially the special edition DVD. Verily it makes my taste buds tingle, or something)
A bit of explanation about last week's comic: the gist of it is, Blue does have a thing for Duo Maxwell - one of the characters from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," and NOT the either one of the combination of Duo and Max's names. I had actually made that name paring with the intention of making a strip with the two of THEM talking about it, but lo and behold Blue gets thrown innocently into the mix. SO - and I hope you noted the comic's title before anyone starts thinking anything mean (because, as Buckaroo Banzai teaches us, "Don't be mean. You don't have to be mean") - it's just that Blue DOES, in fact, have a crush on an anime character who is a 15 year old guy with the nickname "God of Death." Hey, is it his nifty braid? Or his keen little black outfit? We may never know... but Blue will certainly get mocked for it later on. Count on it.
Woo, we gotta get this thing going, but two things before we leave:
First, mad props out to Eric Heikes for helping relay to me that Josiah got to Irvine, California just fine, and I was able to remind him that yes, we had a comic to put up before any major oopsies occurred. GO ERIC! We owe thee one (it was an ICQ to phone relay, w00t).
Next, just to let you people know, comic #50 is around 90% finished, and when you see it you WILL be impressed. I certainly hope. But I think it looks excellent, and will provide you with an extra-large dosage of your daily funny. Yay.
