The Illness Sets In...
April 23, 2002
Today's comikken is inspired by my awful terrible evil illness from last week, in which I actually *wished* I had been hallucinating, because that might have made all the coughing and whatnot seem more interesting or something. I did NOT have a fever, but you can believe I was hurtin' all the same. Bleah. Shout-outs to all those suffering from evil springtime-based (or otherwise) diseases or stuff. Yeah.

Good Lord. I could try to make up some kind of clever metaphor as to how ungodly busy I am right now, what with an essay to be finished by Friday for my Shakespeare class and the Bad Comedy show for Friday and Saturday nights and multiple other duties on my head too multifaceted and numerous to list, but I'll save you that trouble. That and I'm far too stupid in the head to think of one right now. But yeah... show coming up. Nervousness and eagerness run neck n' neck. This one is gonna be as cool as they've always been, folksies. Maybe - *maybe* - even BETTER.

Note to self: keep Web Guy Josiah FAR AWAY from the scanner. He just made me scan his face. You think he'd get his fill of this stuff, having a scanner of his *own*, but no, since mine is smaller and prettier, it of course gets picked on [I don't have a monitor on my machine with a scanner, so I get to remote control the thing when I want to scan stuff...nah, the size really makes the difference - web guy Josiah]. Of course there are WORSE things to be scanned than a *face*, but... we just won't get into that. We just won't.

Gonna make this rant short tonight - although I must add I've gotten a generally joyous outpouring of uh, JOY regarding comic number 50, with the only complaint of "Dammit, now *I* want cheesecake!" - as they likely will be until I regain my sanity. Or until finals are over. The latter sooner than the former, if I know myself. OR something. But take care, folks. Stick around for the further developments (and the pony rides).

Who loves you like I do?

Hey people, it's been a while since I've given you all a piece of my mind...or at least commented on the world and whatever else, so I thought I would take this time to say hey to everyone...hey. As the semester rolls to a close and we get to moving out of our rooms at Macalester to road trip it to AZ, have faith that we will do our best to bring you the comic on time (or early). I'm sure that is probably the least of your worries, but I know that when I hit all my favorite comics each day, every one that I visit and have a new one, well, my smile gets a bit bigger that day. I hope we do the same for all of you reading right now. I know I seem a bit belligerent sometimes, but that is only because it is fun. We do this because it's fun, and because we think it makes people's Tuesdays and Fridays that much better. I hope it does.
Anyways, be good,
- Josiah
