Nary A Difference

Bit of a change of pace... hope nobody is disappointed ::wink::

Sooooo... as I write this now, I've recently gotten back from seeing Episode II with Web Guy Josiah, his former roommate Luke, and our friend Elias (a.k.a. "The Bearded Fury") - with the first three of us IN COSTUME, no less. Which was rather disappointing because nobody *else* was, but hey, we looked kick ASS if I do say so myself, but yeah. Whoo. Annie tired.
Okay, okay, I promise: no spoilers. It's good, though. Not great, but good. Better than Episode I, and you ought to like Ewan McGregor in it. Fuckloads of lightsabers - but don't get mad at me for saying that: I be-LIEVE you all saw that in the previews. What Lucas does good in Ep I, he does better here, and what he does badly, well, he *still* does badly. One thing I can absolutely promise you: MUCH less Jar-Jar. Hardly shows up in fact. But I'm done with that.

I *am* a Jedi (in my heart n' stuff, ya know). And I think I should even be MORE respected as one for saying this: if you only see ONE movie this summer (yeah, *right*) see Spiderman. Episode II is worth seeing, sure, of course: but it's surely not FLAWLESS like Spiderman is. And besides, if you love the Star Wars universe as much as *I* do, I'm pretty sure our own imaginations can beat whatever the movie has to present (although it *does* have some nifty stuff). But seeing it - as Blue is obviously going to do herself - is still a good idea. So w00t and the whatnot.

Arg... seems like forever when you just have less than a week before you're on the road to Arizona, and Josiah shares the feeling completely. The weather is getting better here - at least it's stopped being shitty outright and now is being kind of nyeh-unpredictable - but I'm all for gunning it to my home state with its preposterous record-breaking heat and NO humidity and lunging *right* into the pool. Believe me, I'm ALL down with that. Completely. Getting settled for the summer, gettin' a good job (very much hopefully...), maybe even buying a PS2 at its new $200 reduced price ::gigantic grin:: - it's all an open book. And that sounds nifty to me.

Well, gotta run, but while you're here you might just check out another newcomer to the comix field at Something Positive - check your subtlety at the door, if this comic doesn't at least offend you a *little*, you should be in Bad Comedy with me for God's sake!! But seriously: very funny, good art, semisolid cat. DEFINITELY worth a looky. But you all take care, be well, and keep comin' back for that funny you love.

May the Force be with you,
Annie "Blue" VM

Hey people...I would offer some funny little piece to make you smile, but it's late as I update this. As Annie said...EP 2: is good, is better than 1. While I liked Spiderman a lot, and would still consider it the best movie ever, I'm going to have to see the both of them a few more times before I can really conclude that if a single movie is to be watched this summer, one should make it Spiderman...Because if you're like me...you've been waiting for 2 since 1 left such an ass taste in your mouth. At least now there's an opportunity for closure.
