My God, here I am doing a rant again... AND a bit later than I expected, I know. Sorry once more about last Tuesday's comic: figures I'd think of it just as we'd gotten everything packed up in the van (and Web Guy Josiah neglects to put my rant and comic on a disk, the silly man). But I promised some apology art, and I will come up with it forthwith, including - but not limited to - today's little feature, my very own Jedi Aliexa Kai-Dayshar (kickass, ain't she? Yeah, yeah, I dig. And the funniest thing is that the last two SW episodes I went to, I was DRESSED like her [from now on, she'll also be in the art section - web guy Josiah]. I'm sure some pictures of this will happen upon the 'net sooner or later, so better than I warn you of my maximum dorkitude before someone ELSE unkindly does the same) Hopefully more will be coming, and soon: keep the eyes open for it.
Nyargh: "The Great Annie (and Josiah) Summer Job Search of 2002" is in full swing, with me scattering applications right and left in hopes of acquiring employment (and thence, MONEY). I always did hate searching for jobs, not just because of the paperwork but because of the necessity to polish oneself up like a shiny trinket for employers to gawk over, deciding if you're worth shelling over $6.50 an hour for or not. Niort. Never a fun experience. I've gotten *tremendously* lucky with jobs in the past, though, and here's hoping my luck in that area hasn't run out.
Come on, Cost Plus, call me BACK! I'm crazy and eager to work amongst all your wonderful merchandise, 90% of which I would ravenously buy if I had the bling-bling to do so! Yo! Staples! I'm friendly and know my brands of notebook paper! Pick me, eh? HEY! Blockbuster!
You get the idea. Hope all you out there in similar situations are doing well.
Gonna get my first taste of the new 3rd edition of the Star Wars roleplaying game tonight (if things go as we plan) when I make my characters with Skrat and Web Guy Josiah, and I have to say I'm more than a little eager to get started. Bad roleplaying experiences are unfortunate, but in my experience, I've always had at least a handful of good things to say even about them. I loved my D&D 3rd ed. campaign that ran all school year, and look forward to a repeat of the experience. The first few levels are always a bitch, I need to emphasize, but once you're around 4th, 5th level and gaining experience at a good clip, the sky's the limit. My character in the D&D game (you can see my drawing of her in my Art section, by the way) was very high on the whoop-ass scale, and playing her was a blast. Here's hoping that continues.
Oh, quick comment: if you have ideas or suggestions, criticism or comments about the site (maybe even in the comic... hmmm) please for to send them off to me. "Something" is gonna happen this summer, let's just see what's up ::grin::
Yeep - dinnertime. I gots to go feed my face, but all you take care out there in Readerland, and I'll be with you again soon ::wink:: Later all.
