Ah, nothing like a night of ferocious gameplay. Makes Annie very happy.
In regards to that previous statement, I'd like to clarify that tonight my friend Pyroh (note: name has been changed to protect her anonymity, whether she likes it or not ::laugh:: ), Web Guy Josiah, and myself headed off to "Ladies Night" at the GameWorks at Arizona Mills Mall, i.e. free gameplay for the womenz from 9 PM to Midnight. Poor Josiah had to buy an actual game card, but he later was able to nab a free access card off of someone else, so yay. Pyroh wandered off by herself (playing "Arctic Thunder," which she entreated me to play as to allow her to make a "Rumble-Pak" type joke. Sorry 'roh, I had other fish for to fry) while Josiah and I tore the shit out of Gauntlet: Legends... only to find out, after we beat the last bad guy, that we had to go back and DO IT AGAIN, essentially because we were missing the "special runes" we needed to go into the Underworld and defeat him AGAIN. It was about 2.5 hours of gameplay by that point, and the place was closing, so we both kinda said "fuck it" and went out with a bang. So if you ever see a 22nd level wizard named "ARR" whose score is bad-ass with a capital kick-you-in-the-FACE, that's me. ::wink::
Oh, and if you don't HAVE a GameWorks in your area, I weep for you. I'm truly sorry. If the E3 is the Gamer Mecca, then GameWorks has to be a pretty kickass temple. W00t.
Well, yay. I close at Blockbuster the next three nights, so apologies in advance if I sound a little run-down on Tuesday or summat. Likely it'll be no biggie - I'm a survivor, or something - but I'd be remiss if I didn't let you know about it, and we can't have that.
Actually, I think that above paragraph was more an excuse for me to say "remiss" in the rant rather than to notify you all. Sorry. I guess I'm being remiss again.
There it goes again. Sorry.
Well, my brain's a blank for anything cool for to write about, so I'm gonna let you folks go now - consider this a slap on the wrist ::laugh:: Keep it real.
