And the "hair saga" continues yet further. Whoo boy. And for a little reference as to what Derec's talking about, try looking at his obvious knowledge of Dragonball Z. But yeah.
Sorry about the last rant: I was a wee bit stressed, understandably I think, what with a computer running from EXTENSION cord and the knowledge that I needed head back to work the next day without having gotten my Diablo II fix. I am much calmer now, as you can see, and certainly my short bit of playing Grand Theft Auto 3 at my friend Joanna's on Tuesday helped ::big grin:: See, folks, it DOES help you relieve tension and release aggression! Woo! GTA3 always makes Annie a happy panda. So sorry for the wee bit of anger I subjected you guys to - my points are still valid though - and I'll try to keep from climbing on that crazy soapbox for a while.
Like it, hate it, or never saw it, the animated version of "Clerks" at least deserves props in one, if not many, ways. Like the totally bizarre nature of its humor, its occasional offensive (and FUNNY) gags - like playing an enforced baseball game against a team of malnourished children - the quality of its voice acting (as well as an assload of pointless celebrity cameos), and last but not least, its drawing style. Because okay, either Gabe from Penny Arcade took his new drawing style (which I dig much) from THEM or they might have, hell, taken it from HIM, but either way I like it. You just can't argue with Jay and Silent Bob beating the crap out of Charles Barkley for no real reason, and it's even better to know that he's ACTUALLY doing his own voice, no impersonators or anything (almost makes me forgive him for leaving the Phoenix Suns. ALMOST) If I ever get my OWN cartoon going, I want it to be kinda like the animated version of "Clerks." Only I want it to run for more than six episodes [Clerks was actually only on air for two episodes - web guy Josiah]. ::sigh:: Seriously, it's like what happened with "Dragon Half," where the animators were arrested for, like, DRUG USE after only two episodes (hey, they draw only SLIGHTLY different pictures for HOURS, can you blame them for smokin' a fatty blunt now and then? ...Sorry, that's Jay talking. My bad).
Wait. That's *totally* different. The animated "Clerks" was canceled because ABC was a bunch of stupidheads and premiered it in the SUMMER instead of the normal Fall TV season like they SHOULD have. Bastards. Oh well.
Well, it be the 4th of July when I'm writing this, so WORD. Hope you all had a fun Independence Day, maybe even saw some fireworks or something (not happening here, due to the high chance of fire EVERYWHERE in this state, except for the areas that are ALREADY on fire) (plus I'm a lazy ass, and don't feel like going out of my for to see them), but yeah. I'm even dressed in blue jeans and a red tank top, so I be feelin' all *patriotic* an' shit. WORD. But you people take care, be well, and the whatnot. Peace and love throughout the world.
Oh say is you l33t,
