Meat...SANDWICH!!!

Stuff n' stuff.

But yeah. Tonight's rant is gonna be a short one, as I have to leave for work at yea old Buster of Block in a matter of minutes, but nonetheless a goodie. At least I think so, and as we all know, this comic is pretty much about what I think, Josiah's diss of the "Clerks" cartoon aside. Or not. ::sigh:: Stuff.

One thing I think we'll agree on: if you have the money and the know-how, get your ass down to YOUR local video store (ideally a Blockbuster - hey, my company loyalty grows quickly, what can I say) (now if I could just say the same about my pay rate) and rent "The Royal Tennenbaums" as fast as humanly possible, because likely everyone else will already have that same idea. I got a little "advance viewing" of the DVD set (2 discs) earlier on this week, and I have to say the movie ROCKS. A few of the many things I like about Wes Anderson's films is how ingenious, unusual, and downright *intricate* they are. This one is told as if being read from a book, and hot damn, all I know is that *I* would read it if it were, and swiftly too. Annie labels this a must-see, or some shit like that, yo. Yeah.

Argh. Must strap on rollerblades and get out the door and off to the job now, but you all take care and stuff n' junk, and I'll talk to you fools later.

Snootchie bootchies,
Annie "Blue" VM

Then one day
I looked around
And found
It had disappeared

- They Might Be Giants
"Hopeless Bleak Despair"

Word peeps. Yeah, "The Royal Ttennenbaums" is pretty good, very intricate and fun. You know what is annoying? So Annie's 'rents leave for a little over a month, two days ago. The deal is that previously we had been using her father's dial-up to ASU for access. Now that he's gone, we're not supposed to. I had previously planned to upgrade my dialup in Minnesota to nationwide dialup, which was previously available before my provider was sold to another company because the president and founder was convicted of fraud. To make a long story short...I can't convert my account to nationwide dialup that is usable. Pisser eh? No big deal, we'll just use AOL's free trial until Annie's 'rents get back. Except that the one time I could use an AOL trial CD and offer number...neither can be found. All those places that usually have stacks of them are all out...including Annie's Blockbuster. As of this editing, I don't know if I'm just going to stomach the long-distance to dialup to MN for 10 minutes, or borrow that 10 minutes against Annie's dad's wishes. I'm going to try the MN number, we'll see if I can remember it.

The other pisser. So Annie's 'rents are gone right? No big deal, we've been using their car to drop Annie off and pick her up from work (it's a stick, and I still need to teach her how to drive it). Again, not a big deal, except that AZ is good for killing batteries, especially on those short trips. We've done about 10-15 short trips in the last week or so, all less than .5 miles. I went to check something this afternoon, parked the car for less than 2 minutes, came back to the car...there was nothing. Had the beast jumped by AAA, got it back to the house...and now have to talk to Annie's dad to find out if he wants me to bring it to the dealer where he purchased it, or if he wants me to get a Die Hard Gold with 3-year replacement warranty at Sears. *sigh* So yeah. Be good everyone.
- Josiah
