Savings You Can Smash
August 23, 2002
Well YAY and stuff.

Trip to Irvine was fun: didn't get a whole lot accomplished apartment-search-wise, but we got a few things taken care of for my dear Web Guy (and even a bit for myself, as I hope to head there next fall!), got to see the place, and yeah, had fun.

But holy God. Wanna know one reason why LA is "The City of Angels"? Because it's HEAVEN, that's why! Well, maybe not LA proper, but Irvine and the area around there, oh my GOD. These beautiful eucalyptus trees everywhere, hardly an inch of ground not covered by lush plants and flowers that just *happen* to enjoy growing there. I mean, JESUS. It's so gorgeous. I pride myself on knowing a lot about different kinds of plants just *because*, and dammed if I didn't know like 90 PERCENT of the shit I saw there, it was just so COOOOOL. Yeah. I think Josiah ought to be happy there ::smile:: And Irvine looks just as beautiful, and good lord, if it doesn't have the most incredible campus, punch me in the face and call me Susan. Or something. But yeah. Got to see California (which I mistakenly said I hadn't visited for 8 years. This is wrong. I actually got to visit Catalina Island - around 10 miles off Long Beach - my senior year in high school, around 4 years ago. Still a while, and still enjoyed myself tremenjustly. Yes, I know that's not even a word. That's how much I liked it.

Seems *very* hard to believe that in exactly a week, I'm going to be heading back up Minnesota way with Web Guy Josiah, and a week after that he will be returning to Arizona - ::gasp!:: - ALONE. This makes me a very odd combination of excited and scared. I'm eager to see my Macalester friends again and get started on my last and most critical year of school, but then again that means leaving my Arizona buds and my dearest Web Guy (and definitely the best Web Guy/boyfriend in the whole wide WORLD) (sorry, had to say that. No more gushing, honest). Therefore I am counting on YOU, the readers, to make sure either of us don't go off the deep end. Think of it as "quality control" or something, I don't know. All *I* know is that if my magical powers of mopiness interfere with my comikking, I want someone to slap me upside the head (if only metaphorically) and wake me the hell out of my funk. But yeah.

So that's another bit of warning for you: Friday's comic will likely be on time, but it'll likely be a bit hokey and/or short due to Tyger's being all packed-up and some shit. I'll have goodies for you in the future - mark my words on this - that will make everything worth the wait. I wouldn't lie to you, you know me. Don't make me post any more slightly embarrassing/adorable pics of myself, I get the feeling you'd rather avoid that.

Oh: side note. Got that new 1.1 gig chip Josiah ordered for me, it's all installed and shit, and yeah. Tyger go VERY FAST now. Make Annie-chan very VERY happy, yes indeedy. Now I just need to upgrade my video card, my sound card, my monitor, my CD burner my hard drives MY RAM MY OS MY EVERYTHING AAAAAGH! [ the sound card won't help her - web guy Josiah ]

::pause::

::smack upside the head::

Oof. Needed that. Thanks. Ow.

But yeah. I've gotta fly, but be well, and all that fun stuff. Peace.

Mile a minute,
Annie "Blue" VM
