So yeah. I'm a tired panda. Hate to give you the same rant theme twice in a row, but there you have it. You think you have a lot of time, and then you get back to school, and Real Life gives you a big 'ol ass-whuppin. But yeah.
Having much fun so far in the first-year course I'm precepting: it's rather humorous that most of the girls listed interests in art and curiosity as reasons for taking the course, while all the guys' surveys pretty much ALL said "comics-comics-COMICS!" Reminds me once more how much of an odd bird I and my friends were back in junior high. I mean, maybe it's more common now (what with the fun little Powerpuff Girls and all), but how many eighth grade girls get together and create their own team of mutant superheroes, many with painful and tragic origin stories, including exploding their own birthday parties and seeking revenge on the murderer of their family?? Not very bloody many, I'll bet. And if you're one of those kids who seeks to make the next leader of the X-Men:

I'm behind you all the way ::smile:: In a sense, Blue's ninja alter-ego, the Blue Frenzy, is likely the closest she can get to achieving her dream of being a real superhero... although, as you have likely seen, she doesn't seem willing to stop there, either ::laugh:: But yeah. Fun.
Got into Sociolinguistics, even though I was SIXTH on the waiting list ::does happy little dance in chair:: STILL happy about that, and I think, well I should be. That's what you need to learn about getting into those closed classes you want, folks - *persistence*. And bribing always helps.

Noticed that we seem to have gained a small audience of folks from Germany and Sweden (?) - beats me how, but I'm very happy indeed to see you guys, as I am to see all of our readers. Whoo-hoo!
