The Perils of Being A Ninja
January 10, 2003
YAAAAAARRRRGH!!!!!! ::jumps up and down shrieking in madness::

Sorry. Wanted to wake you all up, and work out some aggression as an additional benefit. Sorry again.

More story. More coming. Don't worry. Want reader input. NEEEEEEED INPUT. Annie likeee inputness.

Despite earlier prognosis, got unexpected hours at Blockbuster: after my last shift this week (Saturday 5 PM) I'll have earned a wee bit over $100, which may not seem like much at all, but in fact I was trying to figure out how I was gonna survive until March 15 on maybe $50. So compared to that - with more possible hours on the way - I'm sitting pretty. Having to shake myself now and again when my brain tries to find ways to spend it... when you're planning previously to use your Christmas Target gift certificates to help you get GROCERIES and such if need be, splurging is *not* going to happen anytime soon, no SIR. But eh. Honestly speaking, I'm just happy with the things I've got now. I got a new video card for Christmas, my friend Skrat is promising me his old 733 and motherboard and such (new body for Tyger! Woo!), which means that my poor brother and his wife can get my old one. Hey, it's only a PII 450, but they're running like a PI *100* at best - to the uninformed, that's PAINFULLY, unbelievably slow - and with only, I believe, a hard drive, they're good to go, with at the very least a speed improvement of 400% (which I call pretty sweet). And my good friend Helen hosted yet another one of our semiannual "clothing exchanges" - meaning I got a lot of nifty new clothes FOR FREE - and my parent's birthday present to me of an MP3/CD walkman is nothing short of a wonder machine. So yeah. Things are good. I just need to remember that more often ::small smile::
Anyhow. Work, as always, means less time to work on OTHER things, which now means SUPER-stress. And I'm going to visit my beloved Web-Guy Josiah in California next Saturday, which may in fact mean that comics need to be delayed somewhat: not a certainty, but I thought it was only fair to give you guys a warning, and let you all know that as always, should such a thing come to pass, I will be prompt in my return, and bring goodies with me when I do. ::grin:: Please have patience with me. For me, January is the cruelest month, when graduate school applications are due, and I have to plan for the upcoming semester while dealing with multiple other issues (like honors project!) and working to make the money to *survive* it. So yeah, a bit frazzled over here. But I'm still excited to be delivering you guys a story that I think you'll like, and enjoying the good things and people that come my way.

::yawn:: Time for sleepy. See you guys later, and take care.

Take It Down, Pass It Around [not someone, something - web guy Josiah],

Oh no, what's this
A spiderweb and I'm caught in the middle
And I turned to run
Thought of all the stupid things I've done
