Well, She DOES Eat A Lot Of Sugar...

Back again, and - wonder of wonders! - ON TIME. Mostly because the majority of my graduate school stuff is in and taken care of, and all I have to do now is meet with a few people, send a few things in, and PRAY TO GOD that they decide to actually ACCEPT me. PLEASE JEEBUS! Be merciful!
Tomorrow I be in California with my own dearest Web Guy Josiah. Updates will continue to happen, as I will be bringing my scanner n' tablet out with me. If they are late, however... uh... Bugger. Blame the both of us, I guess, because it will be a dual fault. Sort of. Argh. ::laugh:: I'll do my best, as I always do. Thanks for the understanding before, and I promise not to try your patience. Not right NOW at least. I hope you all will be as understanding when I'm finishing my honors project, graduating, oh, and I don't know, that whole GETTING MARRIED thingy. Not even *mentioning* the honeymoon. But like always, I'll do my best not to disappoint. I hate doing that, you know. Just not very fun.
Go rent "About A Boy," and I recommend you do it soon. God knows I need to read the book - and "High Fidelity" as well, as it's by the same person - especially if it's half as good as the movie of it was, which very likely it is. I don't know what it is with Nick Hornby (that IS the author's name, right? I'll burn in English Major Hell if I have that wrong, especially with me supposedly focusing in Modern/Contemporary Literature and all that) and making protagonists one WANTS to hate but simply cannot, like the argument for criminals as being "misguided." One watches the film thinking "why do I give two shits in a hat for this terrible man?" but you do, because you FEEL SORRY FOR HIM because you KNOW he can be something better. This is like a sympathetic pig telling a story about a wolf. It's really remarkable.
And while I'm at it, I believe I should pick up some music from Badly Drawn Boy, who (among other things, of course) do the music for the film. They're (or is it just HIM? I think it's only one guy)(good God I'm so ignorant. It's sad) really quite nifty. Or, as the English say "a bit of all right," which is essentially saying the same thing, only apparently more charming and all English-y. Woo.
Bgwah. Enough of all this. I get to work at 9 (in the AM, despite all those who know me as I am, i.e. very much a night owl), so that means sleep comes early for me tonight. Or at least bed. Sleep may have to be bribed somehow. But anyways. Be well.
Inching Towards Glory,
Annie "Blue" VM
