And I'm spent!
...No, seriously. I'm not done or anything - I'm NEVER done! Heehee! - but yeah, this little "project" of mine certainly took more time and effort than any other graphics-related thingy I've EVER DONE, which is good because I'm rather ridiculously proud of it. I'm even thinking of posting a big picture of each one of the characters (we're talking full-screen size here) so you can see all the detail... yeah, I'm a sucker for detail when I can afford to include it. But it's my gift to all of you, because without you readers, I wouldn't have much of a comic, or a lot of the satisfaction that I get from doing all this. Thanks for celebrating #150 with me. HERE'S TO A GAJILLION MORE! Bloop!
Oh, and if you want them (and I hope you do) here are the little backgrounds I've made for the whole thing AND new ones for each of the characters. The screenshots in the back of the character ones are from their games of origin, and I hope in all this that nobody decides to sue me. Yeep!
"Gaming = Living" 1024x768 800x600
Blue as Samus Aran 1024x768 800x600
Derec as Solid Snake 1024x768 800x600
Celia as Princess Peach 1024x768 800x600
Max as Halo Marine 1024x768 800x600
Lisa as the Assassin 1024x768 800x600
Some people may be all "Hey, why is Max a marine from Halo, I thought he hated Microsoft." Well, he does, but he has to grudgingly admit they made a quality game, and in his own little head he is dreaming of what he'll do with Bungie once he and Duo conquer them and displace Bill Gates. And there is also this little statement from the ever-clever Scott Kurtz over at Player Vs. Player. Yeah, Francis and Max definitely aren't related. Well, that's mostly because I'm sure it'd be a cold day in hell before Mr. Kurtz consented to do a crossover strip with a hack like me, but... er... but... MOVING ON!
A shout out to my peeps Mark and Jason, who were kind enough to give me mails on Hat Day (that was Friday, for you philistines) giving me their little kind, savory niblets of praise and feedback, which you all should know I love so much. They are verily the buttercream icing upon this Cake of Goodness that is the Public. And if you haven't tried buttercream frosting, boy howdy, you best get your ass out there and try some. Woooooo... just makes me all hungry thinkin' about it. But yeah, um... stuff.
Well, that's about it for me: enjoy the comikness and the backgrounds, and I'll see you all again on Friday as usual. Bring your friends! Bring your parents! Bring your pets! This show's for free, folks, and it's not going to stop anytime soon. Be well.
Chock-Full of the Goodness,
Annie "Blue" VM
