Argh, My Brain

Guess what comes out today?? X2!!! GLEE!! ::dances around happily:: Yeah, goin' tonight, with a few friends. I'm probably going to hold off on seeing the second Matrix until I'm with my Josiah, but this is X-Men and I'm a crazy fangirl, so yeah, me going now.
Three weeks and a day and I exchange my last name. Heh-heh. Prepare yourself for a veritable SLEW of guest strips, my beloved readers. I give no guarantees to quality when it comes to those - because I didn't do 'em - but I can attest to their humor. We got some totally talented people working on these, I promise you. (that not all of them are really talented at drawing per se may cause alarm in some, but rest assured, things will be cool) All in the name of givin' me & my beloved Web some quality time off, you know what I mean? And in the whole chaos of, I don't know, getting married AND moving to California, I think we'll NEED it. Yeah.
So out of nowhere I suddenly get word that there's a new Fallout game in the works... for PS2 and XBox. It's kind of weird to think about: I've waited all this time for one, begged and hoped and such, and I read the buzz about it at game sites - "wow it's pretty yay must buy" - and at my Fallout fan site, No Mutants Allowed - "argh it's terrible it totally ruins the spirit of Fallout" - and I have to say, I'm leaning now towards the latter. But I really-really-really-REALLY want to like the game. But the thing about Fallout is that I think it's the spirit of the game that people really dug - that your actions had consequences, and just because someone or something looked hideous didn't mean they were evil and mean - not just the fact you could run around in a postapocalyptic world n' shoot things. Wasn't that one of the reasons that Fallout: Tactics failed so badly? Well, that and getting a third-person developer in on the mix. I've looked at the screenshots of the new Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel game and I have to admit, I feel at a loss. It looks okay in terms of graphics, but looking at their official site made my heart sink. Ghouls, deathclaws, and mutants are all ENEMIES. The two playable characters look... meh. Oh, and more business of sticking girls with too big of tits in tight shirts with no bras (not to mention the few screenshots featuring chicks in thongs). Okay, that's not Fallout. Yay for a new Fallout game, but I'm more and more getting the feeling that's not what we're about to receive. My hope is that this 1) isn't as bad as I'm thinking it will be, and 2) whatever the nature of Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, it'll get people hyped about the whole Fallout series again, enough to make a REAL game where it should be: FOR THE PC. Sorry, I'm not a PC purist, but some games just belong there, Fallout among them. Am I so bad for wanting it to come home where it belongs? Tyger craves it, and so do I. Don't disappoint us, Black Isle Studios, pretty-pretty pleeeeze?
Anyhow, enough with the game talk. Enough with the talk PERIOD, come to think of it. I gotta go. Be well peoples.
