Cherry Blossoms Make Samurai Dreams?

Damn my human brain.

You know, I really need someone who will just hang around me at all times, and, when I say "Wow! I've got this great idea!" will ask "Well, how long will it take to do?" And when I say any amount of time greater than a hour - the phrase "only a little while" especially - they should hit me on the head with a shovel. Long-term - what with the cranial damage and all - it wouldn't be so great, but short-term would solve lots of problems, much like today's comic. Oh, there's nothing wrong with it (oddly enough, it came out pretty much exactly as I had envisioned it): it only took me HALF A DAY to do. See, I need someone to tell me that while work like this is nice, it should be saved for special occasions so folks don't start taking it for granted. See, I'm not all badass like other artists out there who can toss this shit out in three hours or less, OH no: I'm a hack and I'll freely admit it. I can give you good stuff - I do my best to do that every comic and then some - but when it comes to excellent work, well, that takes a bit more work and such. But you get the idea.

I graduate on Sunday, and after that, weddin' on the 24th. Woo. That means Tuesday is likely the first guest comic/fan artness, and I say "yay" to that. Because she got her stuff in first, the initial "honor" goes for my good friend and (recently) ex-suitemate Miranda, who - as you shall see soon enough - can draw WAAAYYYYY better than me. Boy howdy. ::grin:: After her, who knows? Just get your stuff in: we love promises for guest work, but only if you actually come up with an actual SOMETHING. C'mon. We're not picky here, we just like you to show the love ::smile::

Hey with the voting! We're in the TOP FIVE now - but it looks like other comics have noticed our giving them a run for their money and are starting to get everyone riled up and voting again. So time to show your love again... pleese? Because we can-can-can? ::hopeful grin::

No, I haven't seen Matrix: Reloaded yet, and will not until I can see it with my Web-Guy Josiah. So far I've heard about a hojillion things about it, from Scott Kurtz's scathing rant to a few effusive superlatives describing how great it is supposed to be. I dunno. I'm eager to see it - when the time is right - but I'm really just happy X-Men 2 was SOOOOO bloody good. I mean, yay Matrix, but honestly, I'm really a happy bouncy fangirl for X-Men and little else. I remember the days of me being a Jedi, and, but for a few final outposts of good, Star Wars is (very sadly) suffering highly from The Suck. ::sigh:: Sad state of affairs. To repeat my friend Zoe's very VERY apt quote, "The Star Wars prequels are like big-budget fan-fiction." I couldn't agree more. But yeah - enough of the depressingness. I won't cry me a river is Matrix: Reloaded isn't all everyone wanted it to be: that can never really happen. If I'm disappointed, hell, I think I'll just see X2 again... and maybe yell silly things at the screen for fun, and make those little squealy noises I do when Nightcrawler and/or Wolverine show up. But maybe that was too much info. MOVING ON!

Urg, gotta pack. Don't wanna. Can't sleep in an empty room. But bleah, gonna have to start with the gathering things together tomorrow. I no likee, but you do what you gotta. At any rate, I'm out of here Sunday afternoon whether I like it or not. That would be "not," but at least I'll be in a place with human beings again. There is a big difference between living in a single that's in a larger suite - with other people - than in a single in a larger suite that's TOTALLY EMPTY. Bleah, Senior Week, I utterly detest you, and bet you don't even care. Jerk.

Anyhow, that's it for me tonight, as my head is going all funny and I've got the stuff to do tomorrow, so I'll bid you all goodbye for now. Be well.
