Annie says, "The comic has a subtile joke about how so many companies buy a hard core expensive computer for a fucking spreadsheet and some minimal document writing, something that can be done on a pentium 75." Hell, I've got a P75 in the living room, and a P166 that works as an awesome webserver (it hosts the archives pre June 2003). Truthfully, the P75 only has 24 megs of ram and would be a little slow, but the P166 has 64 megs of ram and should be able to handle Office 2k.
In any case, Annie makes a point, though we know that good machines go to people with the oldest machines or to the people with the most need for fast machines, the older ones being shuffled down to those with lesser machines, etc., sometimes it seems a little over the top.
Anyways, it's getting late, and we're tired. So enjoy the comic, and goodnight,
- web guy Josiah
