In the Nick of Time
July 8, 2003
Hey peoples. This comic is proof of how much I love you - in case that whole slew of apology art on Friday didn't convince you fully - because this is version 2 of the thing. I was trucking along on Photoshop at around 6 PM, happy as a clam, about 3/5ths of the way through the thing, and my beloved Photoshop up and fucking quits on me for no reason at all... just a "general protection fault" and PPPPTH. And the annoying thing is that when I'm 3/5ths of the way through working on a comic, I don't have anything saved yet. I know I haven't detailed my exact comic-making process - if youreally want to know what it is, ask me and sometime in the future I might just divulge it to the general public - but suffice to say, I lost all I'd done so far and I was mightily pissed off. Luckily I had Web Guy Josiah there to calm me down, soothe my frazzled nerves, and suggest we eat dinner before I made a second go of it. Well, I felt better, and lookit, the comic be done. So things ended happily after all, and that's good.

Oh, just a note to those of you who might have been thinking about going to go see Finding Nemo: quit waffling and go see it RIGHT NOW. Dammit, do it. Pixar keeps amazing the hell out of me with each successive picture, even though I think such a feat is impossible... lo, they keep doing it. Not only is Nemo graphically spectacular (the fluidity and complexity of the facial expressions, for one, totally blew me away), but it's just a good movie. It's hard to come across those nowadays: often they're total hits (like X2... oooo... ::drools with happy::), or total misses (like... well, like a lot of things I haven't seen because I'm a wise moviegoer who doesn't go to crap movies. Hah. I'd venture Legally Blonde 2 as a total crapfest. I don't care what anyone says about the first one, and how the main character is ACTUALLY quite smart, etc. She has the personality of someone I'd like to hit with a brick, and I'm sticking by that comment). But yeah. Go see the Nemo forthwith, fools.

That's about it for me tonight. Enjoy the comikken, and be cool.

Constant Like the Sun,
Annie "Blue" C

So...remember that editor I was writing during the last comic update? Well, I released it. If you are a Python developer, and IDLE is not enough for you, it is probably what you have been begging for. More features will be added soon, don't you worry.
