This Is What We Call Getting Carried Away

Yes, today's comic is also about Trading Spaces. Sorry if this isn't your cup of tea, but I'm stuck on this idea until it works itself through my system, so there you have it. Last one, though, I promise... and for those of you who are distressed with this idea (because I did get a mail from someone saying they really LIKED the last comic, ha-HAAAH), don't worry, there's a secret joke for you in today's comic. Nothing big, you understand, but those of you who have watched their share of the show will likely chuckle when they read about Blue's renovation ideas. At least, I hope you will... but you all should know that's nothing new ::wink:: At any rate, I needed a good spacer or two before a new story arc, but - OOPS! Said too much. Well, I guess it's to be expected that something new would be around the bend, I can't do comics about TV shows forever (particularly because aside from Trading Spaces, I hardly watch ANY television). Maybe Web Guy Josiah could throw in a few requests for some Smallville-related comics, which would be, I have to say, gently but firmly rebuffed. I do nothing for the WB except mock it profusely, thank you very much. This is not to say Smallville isn't a good show, only that it is poor comic material. And if you look carefully, you'll notice that the last two comics (i.e. today's and Tuesday's) aren't really so much about the *show* Trading Spaces but the *impact* said show has upon our fearless hero. Got it?
Arg, this is like explaining a joke: not to be done. Let's move on, shall we?
Oh, and I almost forgot, this comic kills two birds with one stone. In addition to being funny ::crosses fingers:: it solves an issue brought up to me a while ago by the indefatigable man Skrat. He argued that Blue's couch was too gross to sit on, let alone make out upon (as likely some imagined Celia & Derec were doing... shame shame! They've got their own rooms! It's bad manners to lip-lock in the common room, doncha know! ::glares at all those people out there who are unknowingly inconsiderate to their roommate for doing this::) I didn't want to do a whole "saga of Blue and Celia getting new couch" because PVP already did that a while ago, and FAR better than I ever could, so yeah. But that couch does look pretty rank. But I liked the color and shape, and didn't want to have to revise ALLLLLLL of my couch templates... so why not take action in a different fashion? ::nods:: So now you see. E-mail me if you've got a problem with it, or want the old look back or whatever, because if I hear nothing from you people, the new look will STAY, and I don't want to hear any grumbling about this later, okay? Right.
Hm. I'm distressed to find that Homestar Runner hasn't updated in almost 10 days now, where I'd begun to expect - much like a food handout from person-to-squirrel (the ravenous rodent that I am) or even the latest update of the beloved Red Vs. Blue - my weekly intake of Strong Bad Email or other such goodness. I can only hope this means they're working on something huge and good, in which case I hope that the Brothers Chaps do hurry up with it... even playing the Trogdor game today didn't assuage my need for new sectors of funny. Arrr, Homestar Runner must live FOREVER!
I wish I could be sharing with you new and wonderful comics I've discovered, and funny sites to enjoy, but lately my Inbox is a wasteland of nothing (except for the kind e-mail I mentioned, thank you again ::grin:: ::wink::) and I haven't been doing much finding of the goodness. Maybe I'm not prowling around much, but after my initial post on Rocketbox Comics garnered a grand total of ONE RESPONSE, and when I checked the comics they said they regularly read and discovered that most of them were the "look I can draw an anime chick with big yabbos and scanty clothing and tack on a story and I TOTALLAY HAVE THE BESST WEBCOMICK EVAR!!!!11" ...well, I sort of gave up for the nonce. I know there's good comics out there, I know. I have a lot of them linked there on the right [of the front page - web guy Josiah]. I guess I'm just tired of looking and getting depressed that "Atomik Valkryie Panty Girl 3000" [I actually had to ask Annie if there was a comic named this...there isn't really, but it's still funny because it's possible - web guy Josiah] gets more hits than me, but I know T&A will beat out 'legitimate the-aterr' in 9 out of 10 folksies. But what am I whining to you people for?? You're HERE already! ::dawning smile:: Aw, that's right! I love you guyssss! HUGGIES!! ::runs to embrace the populace, who screams and bolts::
Well, that's enough of my blathering for now. Time for more madness. Be well, and SPOON!
