I Wonder If She Plays As Sophitia
September 2, 2003
Grah. Tired. And Ikea has won Monday's battle of wills with the one-two punch of my initial desire for a big-ass bookshelf and the secondary desire of acquiring more cool new crap, and yeah. More cool new crap was acquired, sure, but at a solid price like a hit to the midsection. And I know what you're thinking: "Wait, Annie keeps whining about not having a job, but who is paying for all this?" Well, to answer your question, good ol' Web Guy Josiah is. Yep. Poor guy. That's what you get for getting married to me, English-major book-loving freak-show gamery-chick that I am. You (and by "you" of course I mean "Web Guy Josiah," because I'm married to him and not you, unless you ARE him, in which case... never mind) also get a girl who likes to play as Sophitia in Soul Calibur and similar stuff, but yeah. So the end result is that yes, sadly I did cost my beloved Josiah more money, but now we have a bookcase - Billy the Bookcase (no, seriously, the name Ikea gave it - not Enteri or Björnhold - was BILLY. Go and look it up yourself if you don't believe me) - and it sits in our living room, holding CDs and games and DVDs and such, and looking mighty nice. It's a long-term investment, really, because me going further in to the study of various kinds of literature (not to mention just being who I am) will mean more books, which rather require a book-holding piece of furniture of some kind, and now we have a large one on hand. Brilliant! ::grin::

Arrrrrgh. Me going crazy. Commander Kitty is taking a short break while the author moves, and even worse, Angst Technology is going on hiatus for a month. Noooooo! ::falls over weeping:: I may be overreacting, but trust me, I've had more than one comic I cared about "take a break" or "go on hiatus" or have the artist go "play some games" and never return. So naturally I'm scared. Not that I think that either Mr. Arsenault (of Kitty) or Mr. Smith (of Angst) are unprofessional in this manner and would desert fans who so desperately desire the funny they offer - or that for some reason they don't deserve a break (which is foolishness) - it's that I really like them, and I don't want to court the possibility that their temporary leave of absence might become permanent. I'm already wondering where Hot Soup and his girlfriend Elena (the minds behind Fate Drifters) have got off to. But the good news is that Eidolic Fringe (yes, I know it's misspelled on the link to the right - blame Web Guy Josiah for that one! ::runs away covering head from thrown objects:: [no, don't blame the web guy, that is how she told me to spell it, it is fixed now - web guy Josiah] ) just updated, and I am happy that is the case ::grin:: But anyhow.

Yes, tomorrow Josiah and I will be winging our way up to Minneapolis for a visit, but never fear: like I said on Friday, a surplus of comics are ready and waiting to be posted at the necessary times. And although we always love fan/guest/whatever art/comics/thingies (take your pick), none are urgently necessary for the nonce. ::wink:: But that doesn't mean I won't take 'em if you want to send me any... oh, hell. Gimme your fan art! Guest comics! Whatever! I likes them!!! ::slavering:: Yesssss, we likes them my precioussssss, yes we does....

Oy, sorry. Mind going crazy now. Bet you're all happy the updates during my and Web Guy Josiah's vacation will be short. ::wink:: Well, take it easy, and don't forget to tune in Friday like always. The arc continues!
