Wasn't It Good For You?
October 7, 2003
Short rant tonight, folks, for reasons relating to Web Guy Josiah's computer, but yeah. I said short, I meant it. Er, yes.

Okay. No political thingies from me here on I'm Blue except if you're in California, don't forget to vote today, and please pretty PLEASE do NOT - repeat not - vote for Arnie. He is a bad man. Just trust me on this one. But yeah. Do your civic dooooty and all that. Yessir. ::nods::

Anyhow. I and Web Guy Josiah actually saw Bruce Campbell here in Irvine on Saturday, on his little tour to promote his new (independent) movie, Bubba Ho-Tep - which is, by the way, an excellent film that EVERYONE should see, seriously - and even though he wasn't doing autographs, he did spend 10 minutes after the movie answering questions from everyone. He even answered my question about voice acting ::beams with happiness:: and was very witty, friendly, and wickedly funny. Just so you know, he doesn't suffer fanboys well (can you blame the guy?) but he was a lot of fun to see, and made sure he answered all the worthwhile questions with care. Yay for him. ::smile:: Now hopefully those long-distance pictures of him come out... ::rubs hands in anticipation::

Well, lessee: I've reminded everyone of stuff they should do, and bragged a little bit as well. I think that's it for now, so yay! ::grin:: Enjoy le comikken, be well, take care, and all that. Time for me to get some ice cream or something. Score.

Now, I don't know where I first heard it, but I've heard it a few times, "opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one, but most of 'em stink". With that said, my opinion is as valid as everyone's, that is, mine along with everyone else's is pretty much worthless. Why? Because it's not like any of us really have the influence to alter the opinions of the hundreds of thousands of people required to actually change the election outcome (trust me, I know our reader count).

Whether it is a Democrat who likes to spend, or a supposedly frugal Republican that ends up in office (as purported by a reader who simultaneously lambasted us for our political affiliation, and also thinks that I'm Blue deserves to be #1 at Rocketbox), it is of little consequence. In my opinion, if people didn't want Davis to be the Governor, they shouldn't have voted him into office last November. And considering the entire recall issue was organized by a guy who claimed he could do better, who isn't even running, it gets even more preposterous. I think he was from Sacramento, but I could be wrong.

Because we all have better things to do than to discuss politics, that only get people riled up, I'll just point everyone off to the email form they can use to contact me here. I'll put it on the email page sometime later. Goodnight people, here's hoping that in 24 hours, not Ahhnold is elected.
