Today's comic may seem a bit violent to some, but trust me, it captures what I was feeling in that moment as well as anything has ever captured a globule of my searing rage and held it suspended like a fly in amber. Again, a true story, created this very day, as the final act of what shall henceforth be called the Lighthouse Fiasco unfolded at 10:18 AM Thursday morning. Yes, here is distilled Annie Rage, transmuted into artistic funny. Hope you enjoy it. I think it tastes of Red Hots, but then again, that may just be me.
Fucking asshole turtle. Sorry.
Still accepting donations for my good friend in trouble, and current prizes will be available up until Tuesday (after which I'll do the drawing for the little somethin'-somethin' from the Blue Store), after which I'll start doing a NEW wallpaper for the $5 donators, continuing to offer the custom drawings for $25, and the original art templates for $10... and I'll think of something new for everyone donating at least $1, don't you fret. Maybe an extra comic? Maybe a chance to "guest star" in the background of a comic, or get a drawing of you as a Blue character? I don't know. I'm playing it by ear, here, folks. Just let me know what you think of all this. Oh, and thanks again go out to kind-hearted readers Adam from Australia, Jason from UCI, and now, my buddy Scott from Minnesota - whom it appears I should lend The Forgotten Beasts of Eld and The Other Wind, both of which I own and he has not read and wishes to. Because, you know, I owe him one ::wink:: ::grin::
So the "intriguing something" I mentioned on Tuesday? That was, ladies and gentlemen, heading to Western Digital to help them test out the new hard drives for X-Boxes. However did I do that, you may ask? Well. I played games. For a loooooooong time. I and about 25 other individuals (I being the only female) played X-Box from 9 AM to 6 PM (with, of course, an hour break for lunch, and a couple of breathers) from Monday to Wednesday, and were paid $10 an hour for our trouble. I say SWEEEET. I know, you may throw bricks now. But! I did play some pretty crappy games, or at least ones that were not my style. In all, with two games a day (and being allowed Morrowind two days in a row ::happy sigh::), I took down 007: Agent Under Fire (so-so), Dave Mirra BMX 2 (bleah - the braking is especially shitty, and the camera needs a LOT of work), Morrowind (repeats happy sigh - although you have to run EVERYWHERE, very slowly, and that is boring), Spiderman (nice, but so many controls... make Annie go CRAZY!), and Blinx: The Time Sweeper (made me want to stab my own eyes out. SO FUCKING BAD IT HURT). We didn't get all that much option of what to play, but had I been able to stay for today's session (the getting up at 6:30 AM every day took its toll at last... I literally slept 10 hours last night to make up for all the rest I was losing), I might have sampled New Legends, which looked intriguing, and Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter. I've heard the new Star Wars games suck for the most part, but I've always been a secret sucker for space combat. At the end of all this, I had a lot of fun, and met a lot of very friendly and interesting people... everyone was really nice to me, and although I have to say it was more than a LITTLE intimidating being the only girl there, I handled it like I imagined Blue would, and walked around with as L33T of confidence as I could muster ::grin:: So yeah. Toss your bricks at me, I'm prepared. And although it doesn't sound much like work to many, let me tell you, playing Blinx and Dave Mirra 2 for about four hours definitely felt like work. Sorry, Mirra, you're awesome and I highly respect you, but I don't care for your game much. I do hope you'll forgive?
But yeah. That's enough chatter out of me for one night. Be excellent to each other.
On the Loose,
Annie "Blue" C
But this time we're saving you
