Again With The Social Issues
February 3, 2004
Hey there, my chitlins. Yep, more Animal Crossingness, but I promise this is the last one. I will be tempted to foray no longer into the crazy world that Shigeru Miyamoto has created (my little city is called "Funkytwn," because seriously, "won't you take me to... FUNKYTOWN!" How can you not love it?), or at least, if I am, I'll resist it. Hopefully. And yet again Blue makes the whole thing a social issue... ::shakes head:: No, she's not becoming a communications major. I promise. (apologies to comm. majors out there, I was only kidding, and the only reason I see your subject as being incomprehensible is because I'm too dumb to get it. You should see me try to read Foucault. It's just sad) But yeah. [I read Foucault in a women and gender studies class...I'd rather read angsty teen poetry, it hurts my brain less - web guy Josiah]

I didn't mention Queen of Wands last time because I am a dumb-head. But yeah. You should read it, because it's an excellent comic, and made me shriek with laughter more than once whilst reading their archives. I do disagree with the author on the worth of Final Fantasy X-2 (and I do believe that I do not need to remind you all how much I believe that game SUCKS THE BUTT), but aside from that, bully and hear-hear on all the rest. So yeah. Excellent comic, with the nifty drawing and the great characters and much of T3H FUNNY. So go read. Shoo and off with you!

Well, I just did the drawing for who wins the stuff from the Blue store: Adam, Jason, or Scott, and it turns out that...

Well... ...EVERYONE won! And by "everyone" I mean "the three of them," so woooooooo! ::grin:: I'll be ferreting out things like Mongoose Style stickers and such out to you fellahs - thanks again for your kindness. My friend has actually made it to good company, has an apartment, her stuff, and a job... and basically, I think the term "happily ever after" almost applies ::smile:: Thank you guys, for all your kindness. I know she appreciates it too. [Note that Annie put everyone's names into a hat, along with an extra name, "All". I pulled out "All", and that is why everyone won. - web guy Josiah]

Oh, and in case you're all wondering, I received the I'm Blue 2004 Calendar the other day, and personally, I think it looks FABOO. You can find it here, and currently it'll run you $16.50 plus all the loverly shippin' n' handlin' business, which you can get at quite cheap if you're willing to wait a bit ("a bit" being maybe 7 days... I seriously got mine über quick!). I wish it could be cheaper, but hey, that's Cafepress for you... and where ELSE are you going to find an "I'm Blue" calendar? Honestly. ::wink:: I hope you all dig it.

I've got to wrap this up, as Web Guy Josiah needs to head off to slumberland (and I'm more than a bit tired myself... full day at work makes Annie a tired panda) and updating the comic needs to happen previous to that. But be well, all, and the stuffness. BLOOP!

Off Into the Sunset,
Annie "Blue" C

Why'd you have to wait to call it
Why'd you have to wait to speak
