STILL WAITING on those hopefully-soon-arriving-guest-comics from kind people out there in ReaderLand? Please? Oh, I have much to do... vacation for me is less than a week away, woe is it that I must cobble up many comics in a short amount of time! Woe. Help a girl out, yes?
And in other news: I'm totally starting work on the wallpaper that I promised the fine folks what DONATED to help out my friend Diane, and you too can get in on this love by sliding over $2 to help out my poor sweet house-done-got-broke-into-and-her-sweet-stuff-got-stolenated friend ::sad sigh:: But she is wonderful and deserves your help. Arrr! Go help!
I must have the new They Might Be Giants album or die of sadness. The music video for "Experimental Film" that Homestar Runner did for them is a meeting of the minds that rivals anything previously experienced, like the first time Humans put together Chocolate and Peanut Butter, or Sweet and Sour, and realized it was GOOD.
In 'nother news. These comics hardly need any press from me, but I shall link them all the same because they are awesome.
* Scary-Go-Round is deliciously funny. It is also currently on vacation and has left its younger sister Scarodeleria (who is hand drawn versus computerizedness) (and both are wunnerful) in charge for the nonce. It will give you two comics for the price of one! Yay!
* Fallen is serious-like - to warn those thrill-seekers out there what only seem to want a laugh - and filled with an amazingly detailed world and storyline to match, and art that makes your eyeballs laugh and cry tears of happy. Meaning it is good. Woo.
* Questionable Content may be too indie rock for its own good, but it has the humor that makes the Annie smile, and has another one o' them computers that walks around saying the darndest things. Can we have enough of those? NOOOOOOOOOOO! Next question.
* empty words is wrenching and sad and well-drawn and beautiful. It is serious indeed and made me sniffly. I really like the style. And it is certainly worth a read. You might also want to read it and then read something funny because you do not want to be sad and sniffly all day no sir or ma'am.
I have bestowed all of my link love and am thus spent. See you on Tuesday, and from thence afterwards (actually July 28 - August 8) I shall be away in Midwestern places of the Untied Statements. I do hope when I come back you all will have remembered to keep the floors clean and have watered the plants. Until then, be well.
By the Way,
Annie "Blue" C
And even though I can't explain it
I already know how great it-
- They Might Be Giants
