Whoo. Got the comics done for the vacation coming up - I told you all not to worry, I'd have things taken care of in my absence - and am excited to be on that plane, winging my way along to friends and family and warm sun and cold water. To my peeps in the Twin Cities, I and Web Guy Josiah will be there from Wednesday night until Sunday morning, so please for to give us a call and make hanging out happen. ::wink:: Very eager to see Josiah's family, commiserate and chill and have a good time, and then head off to see my parents and a LOT of my relatives up at Lake Michigan, enjoy a week away from the Tee-Vee and sit out reading and swimming about in the water. We bought a metric ass-tonne of reading material (I would just say "books," but Josiah has indeed bought 4 of the "Battle Angel Alita" manga, too) at a Barnes & Noble tonight (and just when did their discount card start costing fucking twenty-five dollars instead of ten?! that's beyond bloody crazy). But yeah. Books good. Also, Web Guy Josiah bought a battery extender for his laptop, so when I'm not playing on my happy Game Boy Advance SP, I can be watching Full Metal Alchemist with my sweetie on his laptop. Life, it is good.
 I've decided to be sneaky and post a picture of the sweet Diane what got her house broken into, in case it prompts you all out there to donate or something.
That's right. In addition to being sweet and nice and intelligent and talented and all sorts of other good stuff, Dee is also a stone fox. I may be doing some evil cheating by showing you all how hot she is and trying to get donations to help her out that way, but it's more to show you that YES, here is the real person that your donations will help out. She's still trying to get things back in order in her house, make up for the things that were stolen, and YOU can help. Now will you give the pretty lady money to help? I can warn you all now that I have a jorb. Yep, a JERB. JEOREARB! ::slaps face:: Sorry. I have a job now, and I can't wait to start it because it is hella awesome, and I'm beyond excited, and yeah. Starting after vacation, warning you all because big epic strips like the RPG storyline will not NOT happen, but won't, you know, happen all the time. I always want to make the strip bigger and prettier and nicer and the so on and I'm never going to stop doing my best to make it happen, but Giant and Epic will have to be scaled back a bit for the nonce, until I get my proverbial Shit Together. No worries, though. If I didn't let my wedding or my moving to Irvine stop me from delivering to you my Homegrown Funny, by golly, this won't either. But consider this my formal announcement of employment, and YAY. I am tense with the waiting! Woo!
Anyhow. That's going to be it for me for this day: I'll be giving you all short updates of stuff during the trip, and will be back in business on the 10th of August. Keep stopping in for your usual comic-ey goodness, and we'll see you all again when we get back ::wink:: Take care!
