Never fails. When I want to play World of Warcraft, they release their SKRILLIONTH patch, which I can't download because the university has BitTorrent blocked, meaning sorry bitch no WoW tonight. ::heavy sigh:: Woe is I, the whiny wench. Mrrrpfrgle.
It's a been bit of a depressing night, that aside: you may or may not know it, but Christopher Reeve passed away on Monday, and even though I'm not a big Superman fan, the man just WAS Superman, in many ways. That he was able to take his life after such a terrible accident and still make the most of every day - giving all he could and being thankful for everything - really makes him an inspiration. This world will miss him, but now I know he's really able to fly, and is in a better place. Bye, Mr. Reeve. Thanks for being a hero. Here's a sketch I did when I heard the news - I didn't have any time to touch-it up, and it's not great, but it was something I felt impelled to do.
Anyhow. Enough of sad stuff. I will remind you all again to read Girls With Slingshots (and I didn't even know it, but I'd encountered the talented Ms. Corsetto's work previously with Ramblers, and didn't even know it. And come to think of it I don't even know where I got that link... oddness!) and not just because she was so nice as to give me the big link on her page ::grin:: Oh, and if you're coming to us from there, welcome! Take a seat, grab a drink, catch up and enjoy yourself. Just make sure you use a goddammed coaster, you fucking savages. Kidding! ::evil grin::
Damn my eyes, I almost forgot: I gotta get me one of these big-eared kitty hats from Absinthe Fairy Creations, because dammed if I don't wear it AND my SQUEEEE! shirt and become the cutest thing on Earth. Which gives me a +20 bonus to my Bluff, Gather Information, and Diplomacy checks (not to mention that fun +10 to Intimidate - you'd be surprised!) And of course, fulfilling my usual Crazy Flash Movie of the Week, is Seeing Things (Like Kuala Lumpur!). Yes it is on loop. Don't blame me if you find yourself humming that song hours later. You've been warned. Oh yeah, and the English Sports version of the notorious "Badger Mushroom". Enjoy, my pretties!
