It's my most sincere concern that people aren't feeling that the current arc is taking too long, or isn't funny, or both. When I first came up with it I thought "yeah, I can do this in NO time," and lo and behold, longest arc ever. I do hope you're all enjoying it, that it is perhaps more accessible to the fans who felt a bit left-out by the RPG arc (though not so stunning in shading and such - that was my high point, I shall freely admit. I was also not employed, and had literally all day to fuck around with the comic - and yea, it was sweet). I send this initial post as a gee-I-hope-you-folks-like-the-show, and also as a pre-warning, in case dire things come to pass.
I work for a game developer, and love my job to BITS and pieces. And as luck would have it, I'm getting more responsibilities each day, and moving into the design field. This is what I have dreamed of since I was nine years old (and I can prove it to you via my 6th grade yearbook, wherein the desire had set in stone over three years) and I couldn't be more ecstatic about it. However. Working on the comic takes a fair amount of time, and it may be that I will become so busy that I cannot be as loyal to the twice-a-week update as usual. I don't want to become either a slacker - untrue to the "updated Tuesday and Friday without fail" code I made certain to set down back when I STARTED this whole thing - and I don't want to jerk anyone around with one update here, two there, and so on. But rest assured that no matter what, I'm Blue is not going ANYWHERE - you can be sure of that. And if tragedy struck and I had to scale back my schedule to only one update every week, I'd sure as hell make sure you got a great comic then. I don't want to let anyone down, and I don't want to let myself down either - as with all things, I feel impelled to let you know about this crap in case it happens, which it hopefully won't. Just so you know - because you guys are awesome. Indeed.
In other news! Apparently there is a kid, name of Jeremy Zorek, and he has had his picture taken with GOBS of folks. Folks like John Mayer and Puff Daddy, Howard Dean and Al Gore, Jon Stewart and Hugh Jackman, and MORE. Freakin' kid is like maybe 3 years old by now, and ye gods, the little rugrat is a cutie. His dad is a former actor turned housedad, and he's great to his son. Can you imagine growing up with all these shots of you hanging out with awesome people? And to top it off, the kid and his dad have been on talk shows and had stories done about them - around the world. Lucky freakin' kid. Fun site, too - go on and check it out.
That's it for me for tonight - a bit of World of Warcraft before bed would be nice ::grin:: Be good, peeps.
