Oy vey. Short rant tonight: I took off work today due to feeling like crap in a hat, and although I'm feeling much better now I'm not going to push myself. So yeah. But still got comic! Eh? Ehhhh? I thought so ::grin::

A few quick words about all this fervor going on over World of Warcraft: calm the fuck down. I must point out one thing about Blizzard (and I'm not saying you all are getting unjustly down on them, because you may not be, I'm just sayin' is all): I can tell you from personal experience (i.e. I know a good deal of the people who MADE/make WoW) that they all had no clue how big it was going to be. They had their hopes, but they were really just aiming to cover cost. They've clocked the largest number of concurrent players on ANY ONLINE GAME EVER... for those who yelp that "they should have been prepared for this," I ask - how? Nobody knew it'd be this big, least of all Blizzard. And that "server downtime gives no real results" - well, that's bugfixing: often you fix one and ten new ones pop up... and they're doing all this on the fly. I'm no programmer, and I can't say personally what that online component does to games, but I'ma bet it throws SOME wrenches in the works that wouldn't normally have been there. I hate waiting in a queue to get online, but I do what I gotta: I'm on a popular server, and I know things will calm down soon. I've never had any other issues of which people speak, but to me it's just part of the game, in a way. Which is to say, I like it enough that its issues don't get under my skin quite so much. I get irked that I can't always play when I want to, but I can deal with it. For the enjoyment I get out of it, I call it worth the money. I can play WoW for 6 hours one night or go out and see a movie - for the same price. I can game with friends all over the country whom I miss like crazy and I haven't seen in months. It's worth it to me. I'm sorry if it isn't for you, and I know that the folks at Blizzard want to make it something you enjoy, too: I know they loved making it, and working on it still. To me, they're stepping up to the plate and doing all they can to fix things, and taking the hits with as much forthrightness as they can. I wish everything was smooth and happy and so do they, but in the meantime I'ma get on with life. C'est la vie. Anyhow.

FOR THE LINKS!

* Speaking of Warcraft, check out one of its artists: Samwise the Panda King!" QUICK WARNING: some not-safe-for-work stuff in there (pretty much all in his personal art). But overall very beautiful.

* Wanna know which Hogwart's house you should be in? Well then take my friend Scott's most amazingtacular Sorting Hat quiz. It rocks and is awesome, et cetera. And it put me in Ravenclaw! WOO RAVENCLAW!

* This is hilarious. No no, no explanation, just GO. The end.

That's all for tonight, peeps. Be good, take care, and I'ma crash now. ::thud::
