I'll Battlestar Your Galactica
February 22, 2005
Hi there peeps. A little Battlestar Galactica humor for you today, as it has sunk its long, curved claws into my flesh and won't let go. I highly suggest you just give in and watch it, so it many absorb you painlessly and without hassle. I - as I informed a friend the other day - am the most fickle of watchers, who watches a program for about five minutes before getting bored or distracted and wandering off. And if I only marginally like the program but someone ELSE is watching it, I heckle it mercilessly (but not, I must admit, as entertainingly as the folks at Television Without Pity, whom I suggest you read) - Web Guy Josiah HATES this. In fact, the observation in today's comic was actually originally made by me and NOT by him - what is this world coming to?

Anyhow. As it is late, and I got fuck-all for sleep last night, I gotta head to bed before my brain falls out. I need that brain. Surprising, isn't it! I know I get startled by that revelation periodically. Hugs and well-wishes to everyone. Hold tight to your respective brains.

Re: me hating Television Without Pity. On the one hand, if one doesn't critique bad television, it stays bad. More specifically, there are certain writers for certain television programs who should be lobotomized, it could only help their writing. Then again, have you seen the shit that is being put out right now, both in the theatres and on TV (and in music for that matter)? I'm not sure pissing and moaning about bad television (or movies or music) on a forum is terribly productive, people have been doing it for years. Maybe it is lost on me, or maybe I just don't have the time to discuss the finer points of network television serials on a forum designated to piss, moan, and (occasionally) rave.
