Yep, That Sounds Pretty Accurate
May 6, 2005
I can't believe I just peeked into the tiny hot-beverage-cover mouth of a very empty Starbucks Grande Chai Tea to see if any foamy cream goodness could be had. I keep saying that I could make better than they have, and it still isn't scratching the particular nattery itches that I possess regarding chai, but still - peeked into the cup. Guess it's not so bad after all? And it is also amusing that I peeked therein instead of, I don't know, taking off the lid. I am an absurd little ninja.

Returning to comicness.

Yes, these are my predictions. You could say that I am more than a little excited about the new Legend of Zelda game, and yes I do fully intend to acquire it and put it in my pants. There will also be my awe at humankind's technological achievement in the games field. And then of course there is also the incomparable "Hoojie Phil" Khan, who, guess what, still could use some help getting to E3. Once again, if you donate he'll put you in the credits of the documentary he's making, and you get stuff from us - $10 will get you a sketch & swag from him, and $20 will ALSO get you a sketch and swag from ME. If I wasn't so knee-deep in crunch time I would also offer up some badass wallpaper and sketchie as well, but we'll see. I'ma do my best.

I should also mention that I swiped the design of the first panel from Gabe. I'm sorry, Gabe. If it weren't midnight and I didn't have to work tomorrow, I would try to be more original, but... yeah. ::bows humbly:: Credit where it is due. Fuck, this entire comic is due mostly to Tycho and Gabe - if we were to pen an origin story, those two would feature prominently, especially Tycho - but you what I mean. Thank you, Geibu-san. Sorry for the brief but openly-admitted style biting. Won't happen again (mostly because I suck as an artist, but oh well).

In the meantime I offer you up these: a meager but intriguing morsel of interestingness, and a bit of dreck you should be aware of... oh yeah and another tasty morsel. Just read on.

* GOOD BIT: The "blog" of Darth Vader. At first it's all "haha comedy!" in your brain, then you realize how really damn well-written and moving it is, and you're kind of awed. Well, I was, and far be it for me to suggest there is something wrong with you if you do not feel the same (but there still is). I find it infinitely fetching and highly applaud its quite talented author, who deserves due recognition. Go and see.

* Wow, lookit this: evidently, IGN is looking into making its own TV channel. Oh, swell. Even worse, apparently "IGN says it intends to provide programming aimed specifically at the 18-34 year old male market." WHEE. That's some untapped fucking resources right there, I tell you what. It's goddammed ALASKA. Because 90% of the gaming industry isn't laser-focused on that already, oh no sir, uncharted wilderness there. Oh, and the sound you're hearing is my eyes rolling around in my skull in sheer disgust. Bleargh. Just thought I'd report on that.

* And now I end with goodness, that is to say a nifty little comic called Sigh Whatever that is really neato - found it thanks to TEH AFOREMENTIONED PHIL, and I grok it. It's very super new (less than 30 strips as of now) but go see it. I rather enjoy it in somewhat the same way that I enjoy Achewood, which you should also read.

Well folks - just to let you know, you'll probably be seeing more than a couple guest strips in these next few weeks (::ahem:: Kind peopleĀ… still me begging for strips? Please? I'll be your friennnnnd?), but as always the tasty humor will be there - only done by wonderful giving kind people who are way more talented than me. But as for now - NINJA VANISH!

Stars and Garters,
Annie "Blue" C

How old are you now anyway
