Yeah, It'd Be Gone By Now

Yes, it's true. It is a bi-weekly occurrence that my co-worker Dan reads our little lunch group the "Snapple fact" of the day, which may or may not be an actual fact and instead something that just sounds like one (another co-worker is calling shenanigans on some "fact" that involved a tennis ball, I think, but that I can't quite remember. Anyhow). But see, that's fun, whereas reading something dumb like "FUZE THIS!" or "RIDE THE LIZARD!" (for Sobe, in case you were wondering) is a waste of printing. The particular sin in today's example is Elements which I know is made by Snapple, but they should have stuck to their "facts," because their questions really ARE lame. Like, "should you get married for love or money?" Gee, since it's not 1952, what do YOU think? Questions like the actual example in today's comic (with response courtesy of my co-worker Jason) reveal they should have stuck with the "fun facts" angle, because seriously - questions like that really just serve to make one kind of uncomfortable or full of scorn and so on. Do you really want someone thinking "oh my god, what if my boyfriend IS on an internet dating site?!" when they're trying to enjoy your frosty beverage? I am thinking no, but then again I am not in marketing. Thank the gods.
Anyhow. I must get myself to sleep, but before I do I present you with two small bits of enjoyableness:
PART THE FIRST: Spamusement. I seriously laughed so hard at this I almost shot my eyes out of my skull. Seriously insanely funny. Think of Exploding Dog (which you should go visit too if you haven't already, which is more happy and strange instead of right-out funny), only with comics done from Spam subject lines. The hilarity is unstoppable.
PART THE SECOND: X-Entertainment. I don't even know entirely what it is, but damn, it's FUNNY. Check out in particular its tributes to Purplesaurus Rex and Sharkleberry Fin Kool-Aid, and a review of the "Thing feet" and a mind-boggling assemblage of old-school Star Wars crap (damn, if you think they put out a lot of insane junk TODAY...!) Go thither and see.
As for now, me sleep. Be good, all.
