Hey peeps! Short rant tonight - I am full of the tired (as is frequently the case) and I am desirous of the rest. I hope you are not mad at me for having a strip that is heavier on the exposition than the comedy, but hey: they're few and far between, really, and we all need a little exposition now and then. Right? (Just say yes. Trust me)
For those of you who aren't quite in the know about Link's ringtone; that's from 'Navi', a fairy that "helped" you by notifying you of various "interesting" things in "Ocarina of Time" on the N64. Every few minutes she would incessantly squeal "Hey Link Listen! Listen! Link Listen! ..." That got old real fast.
Anyhow! In an endeavor not only to make up for any dearth in humor, I present to you wonderful delicious LINKS, as well as this picture of me in my new shirt from Neighborhoodies. To swipe the Sluggy Freelance cry - is it not nifty? I think me so. Show your Horde support, I say! RAR!
LINKAGE AWAY!
* This strip is hilarious - Wondermark by David Malki (proving that classical clip art can be hilarious, too). Guy also has some pretty astute observations on how to "fix" bad comic strips in the Comic Strip Doctor section, so I highly recommend you check it out.
* I can't tell you much about this story to really illustrate how awesome it is other than OMFG LIONS IN MONTANA WOULD BE HELLA FOR SWEET. Just go read it. It's actually serious. Woo!
* Did you even know that Blizzard was once making an adventure game?? I TOTALLY DID NOT KNOW THAT! It was to be called WarCraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans, and basically was the story of Thrall rising from enslaved orc to leader of his people. After the game was canned, that same tale became the WarCraft novel Lord of the Clans and a significant element of the storyline in WarCraft III, which is beyond awesome. But dang - just looking at those screenshots makes me yearn for the sweet days of yore, when adventure games were king. LONG LIVE SAM & MAX!
* I'm not big on radio-controlled doohickeys, but this crazy video makes the want the hell out of whatever that is. Because DAMN. So insane. It on the water reminds me of a little bit of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, as Zaphod Beeblebrox is driving a hovercraft along the water just before he steals the starship Heart of Gold - the ship has fins but doesn't need them, and he uses them for style, because that's just the kind of hoopy frood Zaphod is, dig? Can't stop thinking about that. GOD, I'm such a geek.
* Behold the video for the song "Flip Out Like A Ninja" by 7 Seconds Of Love! It is awesome, and involves ninja kitties, and is possibly the most relaxed song about flipping out I've ever heard, let ALONE flipping out like a ninja. Gotta see it!
* This here is the most awesome thing ever, and these three words will tell you why: BABY PANDA WEBCAM. Seriously. No joke.
Well, that's it for today, folks: see you all again on Friday, enjoy your meal, and don't forget to tip your waitress!
PANDAS FTW,
Annie "Blue" C
You just can't argue with that
