OK, guys, I got a couple of requests for you, that I humbly put forth with great sincerity:

* Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans. I think that's all I need to say. Help in any way you can, whether it be though contributions to the Red Cross, offers to refugees for places to stay, or sending clothes or food or volunteering your time... we've all gotta do everything we can to help. Shit got fucked up. Help that should have been there was not. I will keep my own political ideas on this matter to myself (except to say that FEMA fucked up, seriously, no doubt about it), but please, we've got to pull our brains away from political spin and do what we can to help. That FIRST, then we demand answers (and don't take no for one). I don't have much to give, and I doubt anything I say will make anyone give more, but I just want to remind everyone to help, please. I'll just say that if you've contributed in the relief effort in any way, let me know, and I'll send you a wallpaper of a cast member dressed up as a superhero - just specify which one (it doesn't matter how much you gave, whether you can give five dollars or five hundred, five minutes or fifty to send clothes or whatever, just that you helped). It's not much, and as I said I doubt it can move people to donate if they haven't already, but it's my way of trying to say thank you. Speaking of which… I hear tell that GameStop is contributing to the relief effort by donating $1 to relief funds for every PSP, PS2, X-box, and GameCube traded in from 9/09 to 9/17, and of course you all should know about Bungie's contribution, and the Penny Arcade auction (which as of this moment has peaked at $8700). Gamers - reach out and show our love to everyone!

* Attempting to return to humor, at least kinda... I'm aware people are damn sick of this font I use, Comic Sans. Trust me, it's getting changed here after the site redesign, but the issue is this: I can't seem to find a good replacement for the comic. I need a nice legible, comic-worthy font that has lower case letters (i.e. isn't all caps, like 99% of the stuff out there) and isn't Mighty Zeo (which I think Penny Arcade uses, or at least they use something similar). I've hit Blambot for their fonts, which are GREAT, but they really lean towards the upper-case-only fonts, and I want something that goes lower-case. I tend towards stuff that's more organic, that looks more hand-drawn and such - hence my initial Comic Sans preference (actually, I used a different font at the beginning, which I really liked, and somewhere down the line I lost the True Type font for it or something, and switched to Comic Sans, which I felt guilty about since Penny Arcade used it at the time, and I had gone out of my way before to NOT use the same type of font as them). And you've all seen my actual handwriting in my sketch comics... TRUST me, you do not want THAT. No indeed.

Anyhow! I must apologize, as my temper is short due to the piece-of-shit on-again, off-again Internet service we've been getting for the past few days, where it goes up and down like a two-dollar whore (and a possible reason as to why this comic may or may not be posted late, for which I very humbly apologize), and because I love you guys, I will spare you any dithering attempts to be funny on my part. ...At least, beyond the ones I already assault you with twice a week. And stuff.

Be good, my peeps. My thoughts go out to the needy.

All About the Good Fight,
Annie "Blue" C
