Drama llama mama! And stuff. But no more outdoor night panels THANKS BE TO THE MAKER. And so on.

Oh, just so you know - myself and Web Guy Josiah will be up in Minnesota from the 22nd to the 29th to visit the in-laws for Thanksgiving, but don't fret: comic will be up as usual, albeit with less of me yapping. This may or may not be a good thing for you, but at the very least, COMICS. And also, I'll get a chance to play an actual-factual XBox 360, because my in-laws won one in the Mountain Dew "Every Ten Minutes" contest thingy. How cool is THAT. Writhe in envy before me! WRITHE! ...Actually, since I didn't win it, you don't have to writhe. Unless you want to or something.

Oh lookout here comes a big fat LINKSTRAVAGANZA!

* Some people just love We Love Katamari so much that they make their own little Styrofoam katamaris and make them 'pick up' stuff. And it is seriously super-cute. GO SEE.

* Behold Michael Swanwick's Periodic Table of Science Fiction! He wrote a story for every element, and yes, it references the actual element somewhere in there, and they're all entirely awesome. Even Nobelium (No-102) which you think could be slacked off on but NO, not even then. Mr. Swanwick is just that hardcore.

* This video is possibly one of the weirdest things EVER. Michael Jackson in video games, Princess Toadstool riding on a giant Zangief about to kick the Earth into oblivion, and 8-bit heroes MUST STOP HIM. Stop thinking that it will ever make any sense and go watch it, and enjoy.

* You've got to applaud Steve Troop and David Willis: they've been webcomicing for a LOOOOOONG time now, and their early strips have drawn to a close (although now Willis is working on Shortpacked, which you should read because it is funny). But what do they do? They are going back and cleaning them up, updating their look and redrawing them - even reformatting them fully - to be better-stronger-faster and so on. I'm digging the hell out of it, and I hope you will be so wise as to check out Troop's Melonpool and Willis' It's Walky! for yourselves. Good stuff!

* So, you've used the keyboard command Control-Alt-Delete before, right? Of course you have, EVERYONE has. There's even a really good webcomic named after the command. But it's something we take for granted. HERE, in this video from Compfused.com, we discover the mysteeeeeerious origins of that ever-famous keyboard shortcut. Fascinating!

* So you're broke, the paper you haven't started on is due in five hours and you have a final in three days - if you're craving cookies (as well as curling up under the bed and rocking back and forth in terror), I might have an explanation as to why. (About the cookie thing, I mean) A recent study has found that sweet snacks help the body better deal with stress. Fascinating little article - and if it gives me another excuse to have some chocolate, HOT DAMN! ::laugh::

* So, there's these hornets in Japan, right? That are literally like the size of your pinky finger. THEY ARE INSANE AND SCARY. And they can tear the crap out of 30,000 European honeybees in like 3 hours. DEADLY, FOO. But. Our story doesn't end there. Japanese honeybees get attacked by them, too... only they kick the hornet's ass. There is no better way to describe it: just watch the video and gasp at the madness. So very crazy. Nature is totally insane.

* Last but DEFINITELY not least, Lorem Ipsum is putting out a call for female geeks to write "introspective essays that explain what being a geek has meant to you." If you think I'm writing one for it, let me tell you: you are goddammed RIGHT. This sounds like the most awesome project in the history of EVER, and dammed if I'm not going to be behind it. And if you're a proud female geek, dammit, you should be too. Get the word out! ::grin::

Well, that's it for this week's Linkstravaganza: you'll have to wait until two weeks from now to get your next real fix, but I think between this week's haul and Turkey Day next week, you'll have pretty full schedules. Or something. At any rate, you peeps be well, and I'll see you all on Tuesday. NINJA VANISH!

Knows More Than She Should,
Annie "Blue" C

She says hey baby I just
might take the chance
