Yes, sadly, it's all true, and it remains entirely retarded. What the situation is - for you nongamers - is that there's a topless MALE skin, right? A dude with his shirt off. No big deal, right? Shirtless dude. Because - via TEH HAXXORING - it is possible OUTSIDE OF THE GAME - to take the texture (the "skin") from off of this male model and put it on a female, suddenly ZOMG HORRABLE AND RONG AAAAAA. Stupid people. Not even real boobies, not even actually in the game. The Hot Coffee thing was only accessible via a mod but admittedly was in the game - this isn't, and not what Bethesda ever intended. So now we apparently can't have shirtless guys in a game EVER, because possibly some kid with TEH MAD HAX could put man nipples on a female model (as formless as a Barbie doll, I should add) and warp his fragile little mind. What the hell.

The only good thing that came out of this is this comic, I think (and so modestly, I know) - I'm rather glad of how it came out (I'd been wanting to go back to Derec & Max for a while now) - but seriously. Little Timmy has SEEN a boob before, okay? He's not going to die. And if he put it there himself, he could just as easily be DRAWING NAKED LADIES OH NO. Are pencils now going to be "M" rated? Give me a fucking break. Oy vey.

Oh, and in case some might be wondering why Derec seems a bit snippy - he's a Communications major. He's in it for things like journalism and film studies, and likes looking at how people interact. However - and I saw this from the ONE Communications course I took, and a roommate's experiences with the discipline - you run into some AWFUL stuff in there. I mean, sure, no major is free of it: but reading Foucault nearly broke my goddammed BRAIN. Just think of the worst thing you'd ever had to study for class, and I think you can imagine what Derec is having to put up with, and why his usually easygoing self is a bit less inclined to put up with Max's little idiosyncracies. But yeah.

I've said it before, but I must needs say it again: E3 next week. Expect comic - as always - but rants will be short and likely full of The Tired. I may even sic Web Guy Josiah on you folks again, to give myself some time to recover. Vee shall seeeee. And if you can get me guest strips or art or whatever, YAY AND HOORAY AND THANK YOU. I shall be in your debt. ::bows in supplication to the reading masses::

Und now - ze LINKSTRAVAGANZA!

* You may not play World of Warcraft - but you should watch the video of one lone mage soloing a 20-man instance anyway. One mage vs. the mobs of Zul'Gurub. If you know the game at all - ESPECIALLY that instance - you should be stunned into impressed silence. If you don't, well - hey, there's some phat music in there, too, I quite like it ::chuckle::

* Speaking of World of Warcraft - Something Awful runs down the 10 player types found in it. I think they should have a player type half-way between #6 and #10, but seriously, they're insanely spot-on. A lot more good apples than bad (at least in my experience), but when you DO run into a bad player, my GOD, you remember it. Yeep.

(Also? Never follow their links, EVER. This should be standard procedure for you all, whenever I link anything from SA.)

* X-Men 3 clip. You know what a "Fastball Special" is? Huh? Now you do. Since it's in production that shot isn't completed, but DAMN. Wheeeeeeeeee! The end.

* And finally - the last WoW link for a while: Google Maps + World of Warcraft = MapWoW. LOVE.

That's it for me, kids - be well, take care, and don't forget to tip your server!
