Merely a Slight Retelling
May 26, 2006
There is an extra bit of irony to this strip: yes, this did happen almost verbatim (and yes, that... piece of fiction DOES exist - and Josiah did read it, much to my chagrin), but the humor is not just in that we joke about this kind of thing, but how well we really do fit each other. Case in point: Wednesday was our 3-year-anniversary (as hinted at previously), and what did we both get for each other (totally by accident)? COMICS. I got him the collected Sin City and V For Vendetta, but he got me every available trade paperback of Y: The Last Man (which is EXTRA funny if you know anything about those comics at all). We fit each other. And things are awesome. But it does NOT mean I won't give him shit for reading crap stuff like that Barney fan-fic. It's practically in the contract! ::laugh::

Alas, as before, I am tired as hell and muchly lacking in the time, so I will leave you with a link to the awesometacular (and theme-appropriate) Geeks In Love video, and whine at you once again to GET ME GUEST COMICS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP. Anyhow. Be good, peeps! ::makes as if to vanish, then shrugs and shuffles slowly off to find a soft place to collapse::

All Tuckered Out,

Actually, Annie lies. That conversation did not happen verbatim as is described in the comic, nor in the way that Annie claims. Annie's mention of "fan fiction" came after my description of the story as a "derivative work". Honestly though, how can you consider a story in which Barney is a murderous alien as fan fiction? Anyways.
