Whew - sorry about the lack of Annie-based rants lately: trust me, you all would prefer it to a lack of Annie-based COMICS lately, which is sadly where the line has been drawn here and there. Thursday night I BARELY finished the comic on time (and got about 5 1/2 hours of sleep as a result) and could not draw together the cognative capacity to even sign my name, let alone explain the joke... which was simply that last week, World of Warcraft was supposed to release a patch which triggered a huge world event - a Scourge (mindless, slavering undead) invasion - and which I prepared for only to have the patch actually not happen after all. Understandably I was irked, and expressed my feelings in art. Well, at least whatever my hackery passes for. Since I also planned to submit this to the comic contest that Blizzard has going right now, I wanted to make it extra pretty... but UGH, I trapped myself in this. I did WAY too much in the way of detail and coloring, learning a lot but taking OMFG so much time to do it. And to top it off, we're hitting Alpha this week - I actually had to come into work this past weekend - so undertakings of that nature were as ill-advised as they could possibly be, and believe me, I paid for it. Myergh.
ANYHOW. I should note here and now that guest comics are very very desired. Please God, GIVE ME YOUR GUEST COMICS. Or guest art. Or whatever. HELP is basically what I'm saying, because I am watching my available time getting sucked into a Black Hole of Doom, and taking this baby to one-day-per-week (or God forbid a hiatus) purely out of necessity is unappealing to me. I promise I'll try to get you something cool. It will be happy and keen. Honest.
And I swear this is a legitimate need and not for extra time to play my new beautiful DS Lite. It is a gorgeous machine and Meteos, Brain Age, Tetris DS, New Super Mario Bros, and a soon-to-be-in-my-possession Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow are delicious things, but alas, Josiah will probably be taking advantage of them more than I - only Brain Age excepted. I have to train this weak cranial matter into something vastly more powerful than the sludge in there right now... better, stronger, faster, latent telekinetic powers, etc. I have high hopes.
Anyhow - speaking of taking it easy, I'm going to call it a night for now. Enjoy, be well, and take care. AND SEND ME YOUR GUEST STUFF PLEASE HOLY CRAP ZOMG.
