What's to say - other than I love the idea of doing something like this? Say what you want about Tetris: blah blah not hardcore blah, but for lack of a better phrase, STFU. There is something inescapably brilliant about its design and singular in its elegance, a game that I personally saw break down all age barriers. My dad played it, until time in an airport for a business trip tormented him with four-piece shape cascading down in his mind when he closed his eyes. My mom played the living HELL out of that game, an eternal struggle between her and my brother, her high scores fighting to keep up with his (I was the little sister, and getting playtime when the brother was behind on his score was NOT something that was going to happen). And I had my GameBoy - bought for $15, dead pixels in a few lines across the screen from the previous owner dropping it - and Tetris was my standby for when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game and Super Mario Land had lost their savor. And Tetris DS is a particularly clever little game, with a few particularly clever renditions of that same elegant design theme. And if fools try to exclaim that Blue is not "hardcore" enough here, I refer them to a recent offering. Definitions of such are not down to the individual. And stuff.
Also, I cannot turn down yet another chance to link my most favoritest Mega64 video. Glee!
And, because I feel like it - after a long absence... a brief LINKSTRAVAGANZA!
* Weight Watchers Recipe Cards from the 1970's. Terrifying and hilarious. Sometimes just really terrifying. But definitely worth a look.
* V For Vendetta? Nyet. Try C is For Cookie. Hey - it's good enough for me
* And finally... unbeliveably cute pictures of an unbelievably cute kitten. Because WHY THE HELL NOT. Kitty!
Well, that's it for me for the nonce. See you punks on Tuesday! ::blows a kiss:: Huzzah!
