Rarely do I make comics that are dependent on the newspost in any way, but here I HAVE to: sure, you can enjoy the core of the humor at the end without catching the rest of what I'm talking about, but where's the fun in that? THEREFORE I must emphatically encourage you to watch the PORTAL trailer from Valve. I hear they're planning to ship that one with Half-Life 2: Episode 2, and holy shit - I don't play FPSes so much, but God DAMN do I want to play this one. Everything one knows about level design - turned on its very head. You don't jump across that pit, you portal across. You don't shoot that turret, you drop a portal under a heavy box, pop the other one on the wll next to the turret, and the gravity that makes the box drop DOWN carries it AWAY from the wall and the second portal, and makes it crash into the turret. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Haven't watched that video yet? You intrigued NOW? GO FUCKING WATCH IT. It's cool, I'll just hang out here for a bit.
