Apologies if I seem a bit out-of-it at the moment: I was awoken this morning in a rather unpleasant fashion, and the tiredness lingers with me still. Imagine, if you will, that you are pulled roughly out of the warm and willing arms of slumber to hear the following exchange between about three crows:
Crow 1: CAW CAW CAW CAW-CAW-CAW CAW CAW-CAW CAAAAAAAAAAAAW.
Crow 2: (as if in affirmation) CAW CAW-CAW CAW CAW-CAW.
Crow 3: (benediction) CAW, CAW-CAW CAWWWW.
(repeat ad infinitum
The best way to properly imagine that is to have someone read it aloud, yelling directly into your ear. When I say "repeat" I do mean it: if I'd had the luxury to consider the noise objectively (which is difficult to do when you are woken out of a deep sleep but a horrible goddamn noise), I would have marveled how regular the pacing of the crows' cries, how evenly it repeated itself, like I was listening to a religious service of the Corvus (which really is an appropriate simile, because it went on longer than a full-on frickin' Catholic Mass). The thought that did pass through my mind was basically "You know, I do like animals, and I'm a gentle person by and large, but if I had a shotgun on me right now I would blast those motherfuckers without hesitation." Anyhow.
Today's comic! Yes, something important there, I would say. We've got more coming from the talented Barry Neeson, but I couldn't resist posting this new gem that fell into my lap from the wily Phil Kahn (he and his awesome girlfriend Sarah Holloway have actually started a new comic together, PUPPIES!, which is all kinds of neato and hilarious). Ideally I favor as little bells-and-whistles as possible with my medieval weaponry, but man, if you're gonna pimp something out - you can't half-ass it ::grin:: MUAHAHHA! ::applauds::
Oh - and I should mention that the forum is back up, which is to say that it has BEEN up for a while, only its link was busted on the main page. Web Guy Josiah is awesome and has fixinated the problem. Hoo-ray!
OK - my head is spinning again - damn you, infernal crow chorus! - so I shall bid you a fondue. TUESDAY I RETURN! Like I do.
