How funny that I made this comic in advance, without any idea how exactly how approps this week would make it? ...Well, not so much funny-haha as funny-OH GOD WHAT HAPPENED TO SLEEP, but yeah. Wanted to convey an image of being pushed under so many things to do but doing my best to roll with the punches (as I am attempting), and I feel like it came out okay. Sentiment stands. And of course I am compelled to point out that I like getting guest strips. They do tend to come in handy is all I'm saying. In very, very handy. Anyhow.
I was rather surprised to hear from a new acquaintance of mine he'd previously worked for the company that made Puzzle Quest (which you should know I much adore) that he and other very loyal employees were screwed-over and fired when they were working very hard on a game there, and that troubles me because I don't like mixing the vinegar of bad experiences with the honey of delicious excellent games. I well know (more than many) that the arcane discipline of Gamecrafing is fraught with both highly good and highly bad experiences, but having something I savor so much as Puzzle Quest being linked to a bad experience of someone whom I rather like is kind of troubling. Good wombs hath borne bad sons, I know, and vice-versa, and I expect that this (in addition to everything else in the game industry and life both) is one of those things that is more complicated than a single statement can really get across - even the best relationship has bad times - but man. Bummerdrag, or what-have-you. Oh well. I'ma still enjoy the game, and the conversation of the acquaintance. I lucked out and got to enjoy both.
Damnatron. Seems I have lost my stash of LINKSTRAVAGANZA, and also I'm crazy tired, so I'm going to beg your forgiveness on this one and vanish into the night. You kids play nice, yes?
