...An outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected.
ex: working very haphazardly and madly in order to enjoy the 2007 San Diego Comic Con, only to wake up feeling lousy on the appointed day and ending up not going after all.
...So you see what happened on Saturday. In a further twist, as I felt better later on that day, I spent a lot of time actually finishing the comics I'd put off, and this week shall draw this arc to its conclusion. 'Bout goddamn time, I know. I had plans - and we all know how much reality laughs at my plans. It laughs, and it laughs, and it pokes them in the eye, and then steals its lunch money, and then it laughs some more. And then the junk kicks begin. And after that - the ice weasels. Don't ask about the weasels.
But as Jeebus is my witness I'm GOING to be at PAX. Let it be known! Likely it will even be in an official capacity (that is to say - a "my job" capacity, not a "my comic" capacity), but I'm not making any promises! ...Except that I'll be there. Cuz it be awesome.
Anyhow - links and more rantage for you later. Profuse apologies, lads and lasses. If nothing else, I offer you the satisfaction of Schadenfreude, and me being hoist by my own petard. Aside from that, I can offer comic, and uh... Internet cake. Mmm... delicious (imaginary) Internet cake. Hooray!
