The Lost Blues - Blue Amuck
August 14, 2007
I know, I know - technically we're still on hiatus - but it burns me to do such a thing, especially when we have UPDATES WITHOUT FAIL right up there on the board, and our Project Wonderful thing is still goin' on (I should really take that down - it's unfair to have it up and not be updating regularly - but damn, they's good ads, and you should check 'em out), but yeah. Sometimes you just gots to do things, and you have no choice.

BUT. I wanted to bring you some-thing today, even if it's not new or fancy or whatnot. In this history of I'm Blue, I've shown you every single strip I've made - except for TWO. Mind you, these were strips I did in the very first few months of making the comic (so they're going to be butt-ass poor, so prepare yourselves), and I abandoned them for certain reasons. This is part of why I tell people who are starting a webcomic to have plenty of comics in reserve when you first start, so when you're fumbling your way through things like a drunken prom date that you have the ability to cut the dross and not be hurtin' for material. In the beginning I thought about having five strips in reserve at any time - FIVE! HAH! That's such a whimsical pipe dream ::chuckle:: - and this was one of the ones left on the cutting room floor.

Remember - first few months of doing these. That means you're looking at something done in late 2001. So, y'know - it's gonna be ass. Just reminding you. Think of it as a history lesson, and a what-not-to-do-with-yer-comic lesson.

And also you guys are unbelievably patient and great. The support I've received over the past handful of days have been preposterously awesome. From of the bottom of my heart - thank you. I'll do my best to get something up here for as long as I can, even if it is ugly as hell, just so you guys gots something new to look at. Be well.

Tyrant of Madnessville,
Annie "Blue" C
