Back in late December of 2005/early January of 2006, I contacted the extremely talented Alex Diochon about doing a possible redesign for Blues ninja uniform. Id been bouncing the idea around in my head since the ninja storyline Id started in mid-October 2005, and had been hitting the ol Naruto pretty hard, and although I mocked their costume style in the comic itself, I also had to give props to many elements of their design. Although a bit too showy as is, I wanted Blues rather boring costume to have more personality to it, without it getting in the way of her being a badass ninja. I was out of ideas and concerned about making something the fans would dig, so I threw myself at the feet of Mr. Diochon, begging for advice.
As you can see, Alex took pity on me and gave me these roughs, which about made me die. SO BEAUTIFUL. On top of that, I had the gall to further beg him for some color scheme ideas, and he even gave me a colored version. Alex Diochon rules over all. WOOO!
